Art Practice:
My art practice is primarily concerned with exploring ways of narrating and reframing the female body during and after disease, pre and post-mortality.
Through anthropological, archaeological & allegorist lens my work spans research and installation bringing the conceptual and tangible together through elements of photography (chemical & digital), taxidermy and sculpture.
I curate and organise exhibitions, festivals, and public artworks, and deliver collaborative projects and educational interventions responding to a wide spectrum of needs and methodologies. Partners, collaborators and clients range from academics and fellow artists, to voluntary sector professionals, and vulnerable and underrepresented groups.
My Work & Creative Practice:
I have led a successful freelance creative practice for 20 years working across a broad range of roles including: commissioned artist, consultant, public speaker, mentor, arts officer and creative advocate across many projects, contexts and settings.
I work with diverse partners regionally and internationally from academics and alternative provision providers, to museums and galleries.
My toolkit of extensive skills and experience includes: teaching and working across multiple artforms, facilitating a diverse range of people across ages, backgrounds and needs, managing multi-stranded projects and largescale budgets, and devising, researching, and evaluating creative projects.
I work innovatively addressing wide themes and needs including: systemic inequalities, community cohesion and regeneration, and health and wellbeing.
O meu trabalho e atelier criativo:
